[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Drinking before the legal age is not recommended for obvious reasons, but that might not be the only motivation youย need to steer clear of the rum until you’reย a much bigger lad/lady.
During our adolescent years (from puberty untilย you hit 20 or so) the brain is developing and preparing itself for ‘adulting’ย (something we’re never quite ready for). But according to science and research, drinking at this time of our lives can be extremely damaging to a number of brain functions. Particularly, it affects the development of the hippocampus and prefrontal lobe. The parts of the brain that are responsible for things like memory, decision making, judgement and learning.
Typically, damage done to the brain from alcohol use can be reversed, almost completely,ย by abstaining from drinking. This is not true, however, for damage done during adolescence. Watch this and you’ll understand just how much rewiring your brain will incur. Look after your hippos, man. Drinkย parsley water...
It goes without saying that drinking before the legal age, and even before your twenties, is just not a great idea. So don’t do it, kids.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
