Eduvos, formerly known as Pearson Institute of Higher Education, has established itself as one of South Africa’s largest and most respected private higher education institutions. With over 23,000 students from more than 50 nationalities, Eduvos delivers world-class education through 12 cutting-edge campuses strategically located across the country.
Eduvos operates under strict quality standards and maintains full accreditation from the Council on Higher Education (CHE) through the Higher Education Quality Committee (HEQC). All qualifications are registered on the National Qualification Framework (NQF) by SAQA, ensuring national and international recognition.
The institution’s philosophy centres on providing flexible, accessible, and industry-relevant education that prepares students for successful careers. Eduvos combines traditional campus-based learning with cutting-edge technology-enabled distance education to accommodate diverse needs of working professionals, school leavers, and career changers.
Funding, Financial Aid, and Bursaries
Eduvos has partnered with numerous funding providers and external bursary organisations including MANATI Alternative Student Funding, Student Hero, Capitec Education Finance, Smart Funder, and ABSA, each offering tailored financing solutions.
The institution supports students in the “missing middle”—those whose family income exceeds NSFAS thresholds but remains insufficient for full fee payment. Eduvos’s comparable fees and flexible payment options make education more accessible than traditional universities.
Available Funding Pathways: NSFAS Financial Aid for eligible students; MANATI Alternative Funding (income-based, no credit checks); Student Hero and Capitec Education Finance; Smart Funder education-focused financing; ABSA Student Loans; external bursaries via Vela Trust partnerships; Eduvos flexible installment payment plans.
Campuses and Study Modes
Eduvos’s nationwide campus network of 12 campuses spans Gauteng (Midrand, Pretoria, Bedfordview, Vanderbijlpark, Potchefstroom), Western Cape (Cape Town Mowbray and Tyger Valley), KwaZulu-Natal (Durban), Eastern Cape (Port Elizabeth and East London), Mpumalanga (Nelspruit), and Free State (Bloemfontein).
Each campus features modern facilities including technology-enabled classrooms, computer laboratories, learning commons, and student support services. For students unable to attend campus regularly, Eduvos offers online full-time and part-time study options delivering the same accredited qualifications through digital platforms.
International students may study fully online or attend designated campuses. The Midrand campus serves as the primary international student hub. Eduvos’s commitment to excellence has earned recognition from the British Accreditation Council, validating the quality of its programmes.

Tuition Fees and Payment Options
Eduvos maintains a commitment to making quality higher education affordable and accessible by keeping tuition fees comparable to South Africa’s public universities. Specific fee structures vary by programme and study mode, with detailed fee schedules available on the Eduvos website.
Eduvos offers flexible payment plans—students pay 30% of their chosen payment option fee on or before the first day of class, with the remainder distributed over the course duration. Students can select different payment schedules based on their financial capacity.
Application Fee: R300 (non-refundable). Prospective students can apply with Grade 11 or 12 results, uploading final matric results once available. Conditional offers may be granted pending final Grade 12 results.
