The Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT), named after Mangosuthu Buthelezi (founder of the Inkatha Freedom Party), is located on the coast just outside Durban. It comprises of approximately 10 000 students. The institution has two campuses which are both located on the public transport access route. MUT aims to provide students with valuable academic programmes, academic support services as well as sports activities and a sense-of-community service.Â

Applications submitted after 30th September accumulate a late application fee determined by the university.
Tuition costs at MUTÂ range between R4 530 and R15 350 per semester, depending on the course of study and subjects.
