The University, established in 1904, is located in Grahamstown. This town is nestled in Eastern Cape. Rhodes is a small university that enjoys the distinction of having one of the best graduation rates in South Africa, an outstanding postgraduate success rate, and the best research output per academic staff member.

HOW TO APPLY

Step 1: Apply online.

  • Undergraduate and postgraduate applicants use the same online application process.  You will need to register with a username and password

Step 2:  Complete your application form in full. 

Step 3:  Upload all supporting documents.

Step 4:  Complete a student accommodation form.  This is part of your academic application.

Please note that once you are accepted to Rhodes, you will need to pay the R1000 residence deposit.
