Tuition Fees and Payment Information
Minimum Tuition Fees: Starting from R6,900 per annum, varying by program and faculty. Health sciences and professional programs typically have higher fees.
Application Fee: R200 (non-refundable)
Payment via Standard Bank using M65 deposit slips at any branch or the Turfloop Campus Student Finance Section.
NSFAS funding is available for eligible undergraduates and can significantly reduce or cover tuition costs entirely. Contact the Financial Aid Department for program-specific fee information and payment plans.
Admission Requirements 2026
UL uses the APS (Admission Point Score) system for assessment.
NSC Requirements:
Life Orientation: Minimum level 3
English (LOLT): Minimum level 3
Four 20-credit subjects: Minimum level 4 (degree) or level 3 (diploma)
NC(V) Level 4:
Degrees: 3 fundamentals at 60% + 4 vocational at 70%
Diplomas: 3 fundamentals at 50% + 3 vocational at 60%
Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance. Selection is based on available capacity and merit ranking.
