If you plan on studying at a university in 2020, you will probably need to write the National Benchmark Tests (NBTs) this year. An important part of this process is knowing where you will be able to write. Don’t let this detail be a worry, we can help you find the closest test site.

Get the venue sorted
When it comes to location, you have zero to worry about. There are NBT test venues set up around the country so you shouldn’t have to travel far and wide to write. You can find the place that suits you best by selecting your province and viewing the options available. From there, you can decide which site is closest to you. Done.
No-one is left out
If you think that living outside South Africa means you won’t have a chance to write the NBTs, think again. There are also test venues outside South Africa. So check out the ‘International’ section to see where these venues are at. If you cannot find a test site close to where you live then you may register as a remote writer. There are so many options that finding a test venue never has to be a stressful thing. No place is too far, yo.

Writing the NBT is a necessary requirement for most South African universities so it is best to check which tests you need to complete before writing. Registration for the NBTs opened on 1 April 2019. Remember that these tests are simply an assessment of your readiness for university – there is NO way you can fail. So choose the venue that suits you best, get the NBTs over with and you’ll be on your way to tertiary studies in 2020.
