Content Creation
Articles on FundiConnect are researched and written by the FundiConnect team. Our writers are assigned topics based on their areas of expertise, ensuring that content is produced by people who understand the subject matter.
Fact-Checking & Sources
We verify all information against official sources, including:
- University and TVET college official websites
- NSFAS publications and announcements
- Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) communications
- Official government gazettes and publications
- Direct communications with institutional admissions offices
Application dates, admission requirements, and funding amounts are cross-referenced with multiple official sources before publication. Where information cannot be independently verified, we clearly state this in the article.
Content Updates & Review Cycle
Our content is reviewed on a regular cycle aligned with academic application periods. The South African higher education calendar drives our review schedule:
- March – May: Mid-year application updates and TVET college second-semester intake information
- June – August: Early-bird application period content for the following academic year
- September – November: Main application period — we prioritise updates to institution information
- December – February: Late applications, clearing, and registration information
Pages are updated when institutions announce new dates, requirements change, or funding programmes are modified. Each article shows its publication date.
Editorial Independence
FundiConnect maintains editorial independence. Our content recommendations are based on factual information and student needs, not commercial relationships. Where sponsored or promotional content appears on our site, it is clearly labelled as such and separated from editorial content.
Some institutions are paying partners. Their profiles say so, they are labelled “Partner” in our institution directory, and links to them are marked as sponsored. A partner’s profile may include information the partner supplied. Institution profiles are only changed after a person has checked the change against the institution’s official sources. Our guides aim to present information objectively so that students can make their own informed decisions.
Corrections & Feedback
If you find information on FundiConnect that is inaccurate, outdated, or misleading, please contact us at support@fundi.co.za. We take corrections seriously and will investigate and update content promptly.
When a significant correction is made to a published article, we note the correction at the bottom of the article along with the date it was made.
Sourcing & Attribution
