What do you do when a loved one disappears thousands of kilometres away from home—and you have no way to get there to search for them? This is something June Allen (Storm Reid) has to figure out when her mother (Nia Long) disappears while on vacation in Colombia with her new boyfriend.
Stuck thousands of kilometres away in Los Angeles, June creatively uses all the latest technology at her fingertips to try and find her mother before it’s too late. Before long, her digital sleuthing leads her down a twisting rabbit hole of secrets and lies.
Directed by Will Merrick and Nick Johnson, “MISSING” encapsulates the tech-driven world around us by showcasing the various ways in which June has to resort to digital means (such as WhatsApp and FaceTime) in order to save her mother.
The film entices viewers this way by throwing them into the story and making them wonder what technology you’d use to save one of your own family members in the same scenario.
Without giving too much away, “MISSING” promises to be a film that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats and is a must-see for fans of suspense and mystery.
