Introducing Yenza Academy

by Staff Reporter

Over the past six years, Yenza has emerged as a category leader in the career guidance and career readiness space. So it felt like a natural evolution to launch our own college: Yenza Academy.

Yenza Academy offers alternative pathways for people to acquire locally and internationally accredited diplomas, which they can then convert into full degrees at one of our partner UK universities in a fraction of the time and far more cost effective.

For example, if a student completes their Level 4 Business course through Yenza Academy, they will receive a diploma and can then move onto Level 5. If they complete the Level 5 Business course, they are guaranteed acceptance into the University of Greater Manchester, where they can complete their BCom undergraduate degree in one year!

Breaking barriers to higher education

Yenza Academy was founded in part to lower the barriers to entry into tertiary institutions. How do we do this?

Low entry requirements: To enter at Level 3, the only requirement is that the student is over the age of 16. Entry into Level 4 requires either completion of Level 3 or a matric certificate.

Practical, career-aligned learning: Our vocational curriculum prioritises

practical, applicable skills over purely academic content.

Fully online and flexible: All content is preloaded into our learning

management system so there no live classes to attend and no set schedules.

This gives students the flexibility they desire as well as making it much more affordable than attending an in-person institution.

Student-centered support

We take a very hands-on approach with our students, offering academic

mentorship, guidance around goal setting and time management, and

personalised career coaching. Another huge bonus is that there are absolutely no exams! Instead, all assessments are project-based and there are no set hand-in dates; the only time requirement is that students finish their course within 18 months, but if they want to finish sooner, it’s entirely up to them.

Education for the future of work

With the world of work in a state of flux, traditional degrees no longer guarantee employability, and industries increasingly value practical skills and adaptability. Our goal with Yenza Academy is to offer educational pathways that prepare students for the evolving job market.
