Elangeni TVET College is a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training institution serving the eThekwini (Durban) area and surrounding regions in KwaZulu-Natal. Established through the merger of three technical colleges in 2002, the college combines decades of educational excellence with modern vocational training methodologies.

Application and Intake Dates 2026
Prospective students should be aware of multiple application windows throughout 2026. The primary application period runs from September 1st to November 30th, 2026 for programs commencing early 2027.

Tuition Fees and Cost Structure

Admission Requirements
Admission requires a Grade 9 qualification or higher for most NCV and skills programs. Candidates must be South African citizens or permanent residents. Grade 12/Matric holders may apply for NATED Report 191 programs for faster-track career pathways.

Programs and Course Offerings
Elangeni TVET College offers three main programme categories. National Certificate Vocational (NCV) programs provide three-year qualifications in Information Technology, Hospitality, Tourism, Primary Agriculture, Office Administration, and Safety in Society. NCV students complete 18 months of workplace learning.
NATED Report 191 engineering and business studies (N1-N6) for post-matriculants. Occupational skills programmes provide industry-certified training in aircraft mechanics, plumbing, automotive service, cabinet making, and manufacturing.

Financial Aid and NSFAS Funding
Elangeni TVET College is NSFAS-accredited. NSFAS provides bursaries covering tuition fees, registration costs, and prescribed learning materials for eligible learners.
