2026 Intake Dates & Application Timeline

JIET operates on a semester system with multiple intake opportunities throughout 2026. The primary intakes occur in February 2026 (applications December 2025 – January 2026) and July 2026 (applications April – May 2026), allowing students to begin their technical education at strategic points in the academic year.

Students with Grade 11 results (November 2025) can submit early applications, while Grade 12 results (September 2025) open the main application window. Rolling admissions mean applications are processed continuously, so students can apply anytime in 2026 for available programs.

Students are encouraged to submit applications early to secure their preferred course and learning schedule. Contact JIET directly for specific program start dates, as different courses may have varying commencement schedules throughout 2026.

Course Fees & Payment Options

JIET believes quality education should be accessible. The institution offers competitive tuition fees and flexible payment arrangements to accommodate diverse financial situations. Exact fee structures vary based on the specific program, duration, and delivery method (full-time, part-time, or correspondence).

Program costs are determined by factors including program level (N1-N3 certificates, N4-N6 diplomas, or IT certifications), program duration (typically 1-3 years), delivery method (full-time classroom, part-time evening, or correspondence study), and practical components (hands-on workshops and laboratory work).

JIET offers accessible payment options including deposit payments to begin coursework, monthly installments to spread costs, and semester payments for long-term programs. For detailed fee information and personalized quotes, contact JIET at info@jiet-edu.co.za or call 011 403 1910 (Johannesburg), 012 001 7291 (Pretoria), or 015 001 1060 (Polokwane).

Student Funding & Financial Assistance

JIET recognizes that financial constraints can be a barrier to quality technical training. Through JIET’s flexible payment plans, students can begin studies with a deposit payment and monthly installments, spread costs across multiple semesters, and arrange customized payment schedules based on their financial situation.

As an institution listed on FundiConnect, JIET students have access to comprehensive student funding information including bursaries and scholarships from corporate and government sponsors, student loans through accredited lenders, SETA funding programs for eligible candidates, NSFAS information and guidance, and employer sponsorship programs.

Industries with active bursary programs include Engineering, IT, Manufacturing, Utilities, Construction, Telecommunications, and Mining sectors. Students are encouraged to visit FundiConnect.co.za for comprehensive funding resources and contact JIET’s enrollment advisors to discuss available financial options.
