The primary application window for Semester/Trimester 1 intake typically closes by the end of January 2026, with online applications opening in late October or early November 2025. Tuition Fees and Costs at Vuselela TVET

Tuition costs typically range from R6,000 to R21,000 per year. NC(V) programmes cost between R6,000 and R12,000 per year, while NATED N4-N6 programmes range from R8,000 to R21,000. Short skills courses range from R3,500 to R10,000. Non-NSFAS students pay an initial deposit of R3,950 at registration.

Additional costs include examination fees (R300-R800), registration fees (R400-R600), practical materials for engineering (R800-R2,000), textbooks (R1,000-R2,500), and student support fees (R400-R700). The college offers flexible payment schedules.

NSFAS-funded students receive coverage for all tuition, registration, examination fees, textbooks, accommodation, transport, and personal care allowances. The NSFAS household income threshold is R350,000 per annum.

Admission Requirements for Vuselela TVET

For NC(V) programmes (Levels 2-4), applicants require a Grade 9 certificate or equivalent. For NATED N4-N6, applicants must have completed Grade 12 with a minimum pass. Engineering programmes require Grade 12 Mathematics and Physical Science with minimum 40%. Learners without required Mathematics may enter through bridging N1-N3 programmes.

Business Studies, Hospitality, and non-engineering programmes accept Mathematics Literacy. All prospective learners must complete the career guidance and placement assessment process. Mature learners (23+) may be considered through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Required documents: certified ID, Grade 9/12 certificates, proof of address, and passport photograph.

NSFAS Funding and Financial Assistance

NSFAS provides comprehensive support covering registration fees, tuition, examination fees, textbooks, accommodation, transport, and a monthly personal care allowance for qualifying students. The household income threshold is R350,000 per annum. NSFAS applications are free and must be submitted during the designated application period.

Beyond NSFAS, the college facilitates institutional bursaries and scholarships funded by corporate partners and philanthropic organisations. SETA learnerships and apprenticeships allow learners to earn a stipend while completing qualifications. The Jouberton Campus serves the Jouberton township with NC(V) and NATED programmes. The Potchefstroom Campus provides comprehensive engineering, business, and technical training. Programmes and Qualifications at Vuselela TVET

Vuselela TVET College offers National Certificate (Vocational) – NC(V) programmes at Levels 2, 3, and 4 across multiple fields including Engineering, Construction, Information Technology, Hospitality, Office Administration, and other high-demand sectors. These NCV qualifications are ideal for learners with Grade 9 and above. NATED (Report 191) programmes from N4 to N6 are available in Business Studies, Engineering Studies, and Utility Studies.

The college also provides Pre-Vocational Learning Programmes (PLP) for foundational skills, specialised artisan training and learnership programmes in partnership with SETAs, and short skills courses in computer literacy, business communication, and technical trades.
