Learnerships: Break it Down
There are a few key facts that you need to know about learnerships before putting your hand up for this opportunity. Firstly, learnerships are aimed at those whose highest qualification is a matric certificate. This type of opportunity is usually a paid job over a broad spectrum and can be very rewarding. How? Well, you will learn plenty of fresh skills, gain work experience, meet new people and often be provided with a route to employment or self-employment. Examples of Learnerships include electrical engineering, hairdressing and project management. By opting for a Learnership, you should be interested in doing as well as watching – that way you’ll learn from your own experiences and the experience of others. If you’d like to look for a Learnership, don’t hesitate. Why not go for it now!? We’ve located some spots where you can find a learnership that suits you – keep reading to find out more.Apprenticeships: Tell me more
Apprenticeships differ from Learnerships in quite a few ways. For starters, Apprenticeships are much more focused than Learnerships. Someone who applies for a Learnership will often be looking for work experience rather than specific work related to a field of interest, passion or expertise. So Apprenticeships are for those who are looking to pursue a certain career but need to gain some experience first i.e. they become an Apprentice to someone already in the field. Apprenticeships also differ from Learnerships as they are often longer (they can take up to 4 years to complete) whereas Learnerships are often 2 years, at most. Examples of fields that offer Apprenticeships include IT, Accounting, Law, and Education.
