Second Chance for the win

The good news is that if you woke up too late to your calling – as some of us do – you don’t have to wait until NEXT year to apply to study.

If you would still like to study in 2019, you have a second chance with 2nd-semester applications. There are, however, some points you need to take note of such as the fact that you may miss certain courses if you apply in the 2nd semester. Also, you may have to consider choosing a college or university that isn’t your first choice as not all institutions offer 2nd-semester applicationsBut if you keep your eyes peeled for those all-important 2nd-semester application dates, the rest is as easy as applying on an institution’s website. And showing up for class, of course.

But wait…There’s more

Why not consider registering at a TVET College? Many TVET colleges take in students several times during the year. Check out the one nearest to you. If you don’t know where that is, you can find out here.

Wait, what’s a TVET College?

TVET is an abbreviation for Technical and Vocational Education and Training.

Technical and Vocational Education and Training courses are vocational or occupational by nature. This means that a student receives education and training with a view towards a specific range of jobs, employment or entrepreneurial possibilities.  Under certain conditions, some students may qualify for admission to a University of Technology. This is to continue their studies at a higher level in the same field of study that they were studying at the TVET College.
